The schoolhouse is just that, a schoolhouse. It was built for the very famous Quebec television series, "Les Filles de Caleb", a french "Little House on the Prairie" if you will. After the series ended, the site was turned into a tourist destinantion where people could visit the famous house where Émilie Bordeleau (played by Marina Orsini) taught many students including Ovila Pronovost (played by Roy Dupuis) who later became her love interest... and one interesting love story this was!

Tourists came from all over the Province of Quebec for over 12 years! Then a couple bought the schoolhouse and took it apart hemlock plank by hemlock plank and rebuilt it with lots of love on Lake Louisa.
